'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oooh, OK, Cash's testimonial has sold me on the One Sweep broom, as soon as I see one in the store.

Not only am I staying with my Mom, my brother and my niece have joined us last night, which is... an interesting arrangement in a one-bedroom condo. It's a good thing that the niece sleeps like a rock on the carpeted floor, a talent that i predict will take her far in life.

Kudos to my s-in-law, who when her daughter was prescribed glasses, bought toy-size glasses for her favoritest doll.

Dog is my co-pilot.

I love MadMen! But what is with
Glenn taking the hair?

I have a feeling the kid is going to turn out to be profoundly disturbed in some way.

He creeped me out.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have a bunch of stuff to do this weekend. And one thing that I've been putting off way too long, and I can't do anything else until I do that, and so I'm doing nothing. I think I may be insane.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, that kid has issues.

Meanwhile, I'm not watching a dog show -- I've got food network on. (I like Healthy Appetite and have just left it on for Robin Miller.)

Hey, any kid having Buffistas around?

I'm doing special gift bags for the kids coming to the wedding, and I'm ordering some stuff right now. Unfortunately, most everything I've picked out is for the older kids. I need some ideas for what to get for the under four set. What silly little things (read inexpensive) can I get that will entertain the little ones without making me responsible for a choking death or a lost eye? So far, all I've got that will work for the little ones are cute little beanbag animals. I'm currently shopping on orientaltrading.com, and I am trying to buy in bulk.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Maybe coloring books and crayons or chalk, so they can entertain themselves at the table?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't much like either Draper or Campbell (as people -- they're great characters). They both suffer from Nice Guy syndrome, and it's so well-written it makes me cringe. (Especially Campbell, because I am helpless before VK's woobification powers. On one level I want to smack the entitlement and self-righteousness right out of him, but then he makes that VK woobie face and I just want to wrap him in a blanket and make him some soup.)

[eta: And a public service announcement for our newbies -- anything plot-specific about a current season show needs to be whited out for the benefit of our international Buffistas. The quick-edit for spoiler font is
s everything whitefonted to the end of the line:

see, whitefont!

Oh. I got that, just didn't know if that was age appropriate. Been a LONG time since I hung out with the little little ones. A two year old likes to color? Man, I need to have a kid. But yeah, I've got crayons and washable markers, "fun pads," and butcher paper to cover the table with so they can color all over it if they want. Also, cute little Wedding themed paper placemats with games and coloring activities.

I'm sure they do. Don't they? I don't know.
