Where did the baby go?!
I've missed a month or more of Natter (although I did skim/read all of 53 to this point) so consider birthday wishes, congratulations, health-ma and assorted vibes distributed as appropriate.
Too much to meara, but I found the recurrance of the cilantro, etc. discussion strangely reassuring.
So glad that Grace got a sweet tucking in. I agree with Cash that clean sheets at bedtime rock.
Megan, eep! Take care of yourself and much dentist~ma to you.

DED of the cute. I can't believe how big she's gotten! It's only been a year since I saw her...have you been feeding that girl steroids?!? I think you have. Also, she looks SO much like you in the picture titled "snicker."
Cass is me. A sidetable once scarred me for life.
And me. My first scar came from a rogue lawn chair. Bit the heck out of the side of my leg, it did. People still think it's a mosquito bite, but noooo, lawn chair attack! Lawn chairs gone wild! In a predator kind of way, not in a drunken spring break kind of way.
I can't believe that in just two years we've gone from this...

Happy Birthday to my little girl!
Flickr is depriving me of cuteness this morning. Stoopid Flickr. Load for me the Buffista baby pics, damn you!
Happy birthday Clara! And now I have the date for my list.
What a big girl! Two, TWO big girls! Mua-ha-ha!
t /The Count
And they're both gorgeous, too.
You know what was awesome at 4:45 this morning? My carbon monoxide detector getting low on battery. Exactly what I needed at the end of a long week.
Happy Birthday Clara!!!
(Oh, I love that name. That's it. Margaret is out the window. Next baby is being called Phoebe.)
Happy birthday, Clara! Lovely girl.
It's 59 in San Francisco right now. We got all the way up to 72 today. Freakin' heatwave.
I'm pretty sure we didn't make it to 72 in Belmont, though Menlo Park probably did.
Just promise me it'll be that temperature in 2 weeks, K?
The "Never Shake a Baby" video was hysterical. Even more hysterical were all of your comments! Loved Cashmere's daughter in the "They Shake Me" t-shirt!
Kathy - hope you can nip the credit scariness in the bud! I know how long it took me to straighten out my credit when I screwed it up in my young and stupid days - I bet it takes even longer when someone else screws it up for you.
Happy birthday Clara!
The discussion about what freebies they give you at the hospital (I Gave Birth, and All I Got Was This Stupid Pamphlet!) reminded me of something. When we got our marriage license the other day, they gave us a pamphlet called "Drugs and Alcohol Can Harm Your Baby." Um, huh? I wasn't applying for a birthing license! Apparently its state law, they have to give us that. I thought it was wierd. Oh, and another wierd thing happened. Neither of us have our current address on our driver's licenses (no excuse, simple laziness. We moved almost 2 years ago), so we had to take in mail and such to prove our new address. The WIERD thing was, the woman helping us at the town clerk's office KNEW we didn't live at the address on our licenses, because SHE LIVES THERE. Same apartment and everything. Wierd, huh?
I am happy to report that for the time being, I have a completely sane and reasonable amount of work to do today. It feels like a vacation! Also? I have checked and double checked (and actually triple checked) my calendar, and I am astonished to report that I have NOTHING planned this weekend!!!! For the first time in months, I have no wedding stuff I have to do, and no work stuff I have to do!!!
Ok, and one more thing. May as well jabber all in one post... I have to choose the book for my book club (they're coming to my house Tuesday) to read next month. Normally I am ecstatic to get a chance to choose the book, and I would choose one of my favorites so I can have a chance to discuss it with real live people. But I won't be at the next meeting (honeymoon!!!!) so I don't want to "waste" one of my favorites. So, suggestions? Our rules are that it can't be TOO recent (must be available in paperback, and preferably used), and it can't be TOO long (not everyone reads as fast as me, and they get cranky if its too long). Also, I always choose fiction. Looking for something light and fun that will appeal to the women in my book club, who range in age from 29 to 80. Really.
