Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthdays, Katerina and Ms. H!

ita, is there any way you can reschedule any of the meetings? Or at least participate from home? Because if anyone needs an easy day today, you do.

Thanks for the thoughts for Teddy. I'm hoping the car's A/C will keep the heat down. And that traffic isn't too bad as I head outbound on I-66 after his appointment. And that XM's 50s on 5 (his favorite radio station, we think) is working (playing what we think is his favorite song -- the Shirelles' "Dedicated to the One I Love" -- would be a nice extra).

I'm just waiting to get the same message from D when I forbid him to do something like climb on the roof or tell him he can't have chocolate for lunch.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

FTR - mac's comments don't get me upset. I actually love that he has learned the word rude despite using it to mean "not giving me what I want" - never fear, I know I am an ok mom. Last night I was " a little cute mom and his best mom ever".

Thanks all the same.

Our wings are not tired.

The moms in my neighborhood compete for the meanest mom award. I think I should give my mom an extra hug today. The job does have sucky moments, lots of them.

the Shirelles' "Dedicated to the One I Love" -- would be a nice extra

It is a new ~ma request, but you got it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In non-stormpocalypse news, I would like to be 8 weeks old again, please. I just spent 10 minutes entertaining Dylan by turning a lamp on and off. He was fascinated.

Hee, yes it does take a bit more than light switching on and off to entertain me these days. Now there were times in the 70s when that entertained me.

Swouncing

Last night I was " a little cute mom and his best mom ever".

Oh, that's just adorable. Especially the "little" in there. All his descriptions of you are of the "mom" you, good or rude?

I just spent 10 minutes entertaining Dylan by turning a lamp on and off. He was fascinated.

The thing is, I'm pretty sure I could stare at an 8-weeks old (already? Wow) being fascinated, for way more than ten minutes. Even without the light being switched on and off.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I love that Pat Kiernan keeps us updated on his wife's transit situation. Because when you're stuck, why not call your husband while he's hosting a morning newscast?

For myself I guess I'll stay put for a bit. I feel bad for my colleagues who have to be in, though.

Dog is my co-pilot.

Fred Pete, where does Teddy go for acupuncture? My dogs go to Dr. Kocen at SouthPaws. Kitty ~ma to Teddy. Good luck with traffic. I believe I hate I-66 the most of all of our area Interstates.

Teddy has excellent taste in music!
