Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, kinda slain with the smilies.

Hmm. Maybe I could make it today--I haven't made any of the recipes yet, and I feel like a big old lamer. Hey--you wouldn't be able to sling a link to the recipe to my inbox, would you? I may need to shop for ingredients.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Happy birthday, Kat!

Oooh, I love spice cake.

Dana, I always wear pants to interview. I figure I want a job where I can wear pants, so I might as well be ruled out for not wearing pants to the interview if it's going to be a problem.

Also then, if I don't get the job, I can just blame it on the pants.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

No problem - insent.

Awesome smile!

Am very sleepy. It's the lunch coma.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Woohoo. I am properly pantsed.

Also, everyone I have spoken to today, which includes two recruiters and a receptionist, has pronounced my name wrong. It's the THIRD TIME I've talked to the receptionist.

Thanks, Jess. Looks like I need ground ginger...and I don't have anything to grind it with. Do you think shaving with one of those microplaner is a fair substitute? Or are they not talking fresh?

I also need molasses and maybe cardamom.

I want to leave out the walnuts. Don't like walnuts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In a spice cake recipe, I'd assume that ground ginger means dry in a jar ginger.

information libertarian

Now wondering how on earth one could pronounce Dana's name wrong. Unless I am pronouncing it wrong.

Definitely not fresh ginger.

They mean the dry stuff for that part. The walnuts just go on top of the frosting so leaving them out won't affect the rest of the recipe at all.

I was very surprised to discover that I have ground cloves and cardamom in my spice drawer. I was expecting to have to pull out the spice grinder, and lo, there they were.
