Oooh! an index to abandoned amusement parks around the country.
The Joker definitely has this bookmarked.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Problem is, so does the Batman.
Quick question (that might be stupid but I'm willing to risk my dignity to get a quick answer), what do you call the part of a website that stays the same when you click through the website's pages? Like here it would be the buffistas logo and links on the left.
Boilerplate?
What a coincidence--the Chicago Tribune today has an article on some tunnels under the Green Mill.
lisah, we ('we' being me and my fellow web coworkers) call it the wrapper.
OK, now Sophia's link has made me wonder just what the urban explorers found protected by booby-traps in the Rochester Crazy Warehouse.

Like that's gonna stop the Joker. I think I've also seen him holed up at abandoned novelty factories and closed comedy clubs.
But c'mon! He really needs an abandoned amusement park. Sure he's easy to find, but the backdrops...
Late to the conversation, but wanted to agree wholeheartedly with this:
Dress codes are so expensive for women.
I get caught constantly in the cycle of buying new clothes to replace the ones that no longer fit or are starting to look ratty, realizing I can only afford cheap clothes which don't last very long, and then having to replace them again a year later. I wish I could have the confidence to wear more of a uniform to school, but I don't. I do feel the pressure to dress nicely and to wear a variety of outfits, especially given that all of the students are actually IN uniforms. The teachers' clothes stand out a lot more when all the students are wearing the same thing. Also, working in LA in a rich neighborhood doesn't help.
Why yes, this is a cause of enormous stress for me. Sorry to rant.
I love that we're suddenly on about creepy places in both Natter and Bitches. Us = strange. But not off-putting.

mmm wrapper! (I went to an summer roll place)
That's good to know, polgara. Thanks!
