Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I love that we're suddenly on about creepy places in both Natter and Bitches. Us = strange. But not off-putting.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

the Chicago Tribune today has an article on some tunnels under the Green Mill.

That's actually from late June. Cool article. One of these days I hafta' go to the Green Mill - it's only a few blocks from me.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Gangster tunnels under bars rock!

OK, now Sophia's link has made me wonder just what the urban explorers found protected by booby-traps in the Rochester Crazy Warehouse.

Me too!!!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That's actually from late June.

Ah, I followed the link the wrong way--today's paper had an article on the freight tunnels that link many older buildings in the Loop (and were the cause of the Great Chicago Flood of 1992).

Heh. My old company lost a lot of files in that flood - and gained a great way of avoiding some of the more cracktastic information requests from our higher-ups who had no concept of what it took to compile twenty-year old data from dusty file boxes. "Sorry, can't do it. Flood."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Corwood, how wonderful! And what a beautiful name.

'Scuse me, allergies.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Somebody told me once that the toe-taping thing is a myth, and you're just as well-off not taping.

I've heard that it does nothing to promote healing but if it feels better do it.
