Art Crawl!!!

Well, at issue were two random dates where they wanted to test him out of competition - nothing to do with the Tour.

Except that now it is.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

This totally beats Potterdammerung.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Holy cow! That's completely nuts! And I was just watching this morning and being all excited and also somewhat confused because I clearly missed the rest of the kerfluffles, but this is the big one!

And also, VS coverage was driving me batty.

Oh, oh, and what do you guys think about his (no longer an issue) complaining about the press motorbikes being too close?

Oh, oh, oh, and did you see the streaker? 'Cause what is live television without a streaker?

It seemed a little diva-ish. Say what you will about Armstrong, I don't remember him pulling that shit.

Yes! It's not really a stage without a naked guy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh yeah, and what I actually came here to post was that I have some people coming to visit next week and we're doing this weird spiritual gifts assessment and part of my task was to get friends to fill out a survey for me, about what they think my skills are. So I put it up on livejournal for you guys to fill out. It's all kinda bizarre and filled with religious-speak, but if you don't mind that (or don't mind ignorning it) I'd love to have you participate. I'd appreciate it.

Totally. The SO & I were laughing to ourselves about how long it took to get the camera off him.

But in all seriousness, I have to say, I don't know how those cyclists work at all in that environment. It's nuts!

Are there generally etiquette rules for what's okay and not for the crowd? 'Cause it seems like they're constantly totally in their way.

I think all bets tend to be off on the big mountain stages, because the people have probably expended a lot of effort to get up there, are filled with nationalistic pride, and are often drunk.

Trust my rage

Kat, I'm so so sorry you and your family continue to have to go through so much. You are all still in my thoughts and prayers. I'll be hoping both procedures go as well as possible.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. If I were there and had everything invested in one guy from my country and had saved up my whole life to be standing at the side of the road, I would probably scream and run alongside him waving a flag too.

Okay, I probably wouldn't. But I would understand the sentiment.

But I also can't imagine trying to ride through that mass of flesh. Although I did awww at them pushing up whatshisname as he fell back.

Menchov. Though that's more or less illegal, but it's up to the referees to make an issue of it. It's pretty awesome, in a freaky way, to watch the guys work so hard that they suddenly just go *boom* and have trouble even moving their legs.
