Because books.

You're such a giver, Amy.

I try, I try.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I HATE trying to post with the laptop, it's got a hairtrigger keyboard and I just lost a lengthy post.

Jared said that Jensen was an awesome actor, and they were filming a scene where Dean was telling Sam about hell. It was Jensen's coverage, so Jared wasn't even really on camera, but he was sitting there so Jensen would have someone to talk to. He said Jensen nailed the scene and Jared was just sniffling. Man, Jared's an actor, he knows all the tricks and techniques. They'd rehearsed the scene and this probably wasn't the first time they'd done it for film, and if Jensen made him sniffle, I'm going to be a basket case.

I think I misremembered Castiel telling Dean not to tell Sam about Castiel or what he and Dean talked about on their second or third meeting. I don't think that actually happened. I do think Dean is a)reluctant to relive any part of his experience n hell by talking about it, b)reluctant for Sam to know how horrible it really was, and c)reluctant to admit how broken he may be if he does remember it.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Jared fanboys Jensen. ::smiles::

I want to rewatch the scene where Sam meets the angels. JP still amazes me and I don't know how that happens. I think he has grown bored with the part and then he pulls stuff like that.

c)reluctant to admit how broken he may be if he does remember it.

I think this is going to be it.

All of this, really, mixed together. I can't wait to see it.

Okay, we were talking vids before the show, and I didn't have a link to this one so I emailed the vidder and she just ponied up.

It's called Passenger Seat, and the song is Passenger Seat by Death Cab for Cutie. It's one of my absolute favorite vids. You can watch and/or download here. Tell me what you think. I'd love to know if you get the same feelings out of it as I do.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

It's a beautiful vid. What those two say without words is more than they ever could with words. I love how important and beautiful the Impala is in it also. So much about control.

It also adds to the mounting feeling I have that Dean is going to die trying to save Sam. Or driving him home. And then I'll die a little inside.

A western was mentioned upthread. I think it might be fun to see them do a Butch and Sundance remake. JA and JP were born to play cowboys.

I love that there are only two words of dialog, "Bitch," "Jerk."

To me it seems like the Impala *is* home, or a sanctuary where they are apart from the things they face, the things they hunt. It's the space between one town and the next, one hunt and the next, their past and their future. The vid really brings home the way these two actors are able to bring to life characters who communicate with an eyebrow, a smile, or a bitchface. The forward motion of the car is the forward motion of life--no going back, no do-overs, and the flash of light and dark outside the windows doesn't seem to affect what's going on inside the bubble of time and space the Impala seems to be for them.

The music is soft and quiet, almost hypnotic like the beat of windshield wipers, and it underscores the lack of violent action and the lack of dialog.

I'm a hyooge sap (oh, like that's news to anybody), and this vid just plays into all my sappiness about these two characters.

And also? Dean is not allowed to die. Again. He's just not, okay? And neither is Sam.

I don't necessarily want them to remake Butch and Sundance, but if such a thing comes up I think casting folk would be fools not to use them. Someone mentioned recently that Clooney and Pitt are the current Newman and Redford, and I suppose they are. But if so, then J&J are the next incarnation.

In any case, I would love to see either of them in a western, and both in the same western? Would be awesome.

Would you write them a note? Send it to Kripke.

Redford and Newman is exactly who they remind me of in their interaction/relationship. I don't think Clooney and Pitt quite achieved it, but I think the JJs could. I know that's why my mind went to B&S. They need a vehicle with the funny and the sad and their pretty as an after thought.

Bev, your description of the video is as beautiful as the video itself. You write about the brothers that I love. :)
