Well, I guess if Sam's voice can change from 21 to 26, then John's certainly could have from 19 to...30-ish?

More so than travelling back through time, I would think it would be weird to arrive in the past and be older than my parent.
Aww, the VW bus of peace, love, understanding, and all that jazz!
I'm convinced that Mary, too, was planning on running to California.

Definitely. I just want to hug him.
Oh, so so pretty. Not really tall enough, sadly blue-eyed, but pretty.
"I guess not" just ripples with meaning.
Random thoughts
Mary made a deal with Azazel, but was able to stick around long enough to save Sam. Still Dead though.
John made a deal with Azazel, and was able to get out of hell and help Dean. Still Dead though.
Dean made a deal with the Crossroads demon, but was brought back to life (to help Sam), and so far is still alive. At least things are going better for him, so far?
sadly blue-eyed,
Would it have killed them to give him contact lenses? It's not like he was in a huge number of scenes.
Interesting how the show opens on a deal made for a loved one. A non-demonic deal, that is.
Man, I love the mom is a babe line so much.
So far.
Babyface John has the family chin cleft, though. I didn't notice it first time.
"There been any cattle mutilations in town?" Oh, Dean. Very smooth.
I actually kind of love that John has no idea what to make of a guy like Dean. His world-view is fairly, if not narrow, sheltered. Despite the war, which I can see him handwaving as a whole *other* world.
