You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Because books.

Oh, DEAN. Man, he ROCKED this scene.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Or what Plei said.

Stoopid board slowness

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oooo! The Kripke Favorite! Hand-in-disposal!

This remains one of the creepiest scenes not involving dee-monic incest undertones in the history of the show.

Creepy Monkey!

Because books.

Yeah, JP's voice is much higher and lighter here. And he can't have gotten taller since then, right? But the filling out and bulking up -- he's still a bit gangly here. LOVE.

Also, Sam's incredible earnestness -- it's still so fresh for him, with Jessica's death. I'd forgotten that. And not knowing Dean carried him out of the house! Guh.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

OMG, I forgot about the garbage disposal. UGH. I can't look. Garbage disposals freak me out anyway, this was traumatic.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

How nice I get to catch up on my reading and compose a post so I don't have to watch this scene!

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

That scene also helped solidify my burning hatred of John. Your son, Dean, whom you raised to be a warrior, calls you in tears, and you never reply? You're in the same town, and you never show your face? Not to mention the "you son is dying and you never even bother to call" part of things.

Those damn cymbal-playing monkies are Evil. I used to have one, I know.

I gladly kept my browser window on top of the DVD window during that scene
