I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I dunno, I found it kinda freaky. Dude doesn't blink! My fix for that is to just watch his mouth. Mmmm...

"I'm not scared..."

Obviously, in contrast to my comment about Kruby during the premiere -- he hasn't been online much.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

TWOPPERS were convinced that DEAN didn't have a storyline.

Apologies to any TWOPers here, but that's crazy.

... or, to put it another way, Dean gets all the characterization effort. Sam gets a storyline, but they still make it All About Dean. Season 2 was supposed to be about whether Sam was going evil: instead it was about Dean having to bear the burden of what John told him about Sam, and then trading his soul for Sam.

Season 3 had a few efforts at being about Sam, but it still turned out to be all about Dean and his deal.

I see no reason to expect different from Season 4. The writers prefer writing Dean, and they toss Sam some characterization occasionally, but it's pretty much underplayed and subtext. Which is self-fulfilling, really: JA does such a good job with what he's given that they continue to give him more. And the whole thing is quite unbalanced.

I am a Dean!girl, but I really do think it's absurd how obvious it is that even the showrunners love Dean best. Poor JP.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes - that is exactly what happens. And it's not like JP is terrible.

Meanwhile, now he has all the characterization AND some sort of epic destiny.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Misha being adorable.

Oh, he so very much is.

"You should show me some respect."

I finally got to watch last night. That scene and that line/delivery, in particular, and Dean's reaction to it - riveting. I was backing up a little into my couch there.

Really liked the ep. I don't think Sam has been sleeping with Ruby. Is she jumping from body to body quickly? Is this so as not to kill/permanently scar the humans? Wasn't there some discussion about length of time in possession being the deciding factor about how damaged the human gets?

On the other hand, how psyched must Castiel's accountant vessel be in there? "I'm doing God a solid, and this Castiel dude is FUCKING AWESOME! Damn right, '...show me some respect.'" Hell, even if he ends up shuffling off this mortal coil, I imagine he is anticipating his eternal reward with glee.

For my own sanity, I've decided that Ruby is simply crashing with Sam, and that was her sleepy-time outfit. It's the only theory that keeps my head from exploding.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Until Show says otherwise.

Misha: what was amazing about that interview was all the disconcerting qualities about Castiel seem to be Misha's.

I hadn't thought about that but I bet he is pretty pumped to be Castiel. Well, except for the knife and gunshot wounds. And the chapped lips last week. I hope they meant to do that in make-up because if not, ouch.
