I have to watch again now. I was too worried about Bobby for a large part of that show and I missed much. I do remember laughing when Bobby called them "chuckle-heads" though.
I kind of liked the shotguns scene. As long as I'm not on the firing line and don't have to listen to it in real life. I was thrilled--thrilled, I tell you--to see Sam & Dean working together like a well-oiled machine. Habit took over, I guess, and swept away all the uneasiness and awkwardness they've been exhibiting whenever they're together--secrets on both sides. It was nice just to see them keying off each other without a second thought, business as usual.
"You should show me some respect."
that gave me chills. i actually couldn't tear my eyes from the tv during that whole exchange. talk about presence. damn.
Also, I loved Nikki Aycox. She's just as intense as Meg as she was as demon-Meg. Just different.

Yes, that whole scene was fantastic. Misha is excellent, excellent casting.
He really, really nails it.
I want to go back and watch Dean's initial "Why me?" conversation with Bobby and Sam. So good. "Well, it creeps me out!" Funny, but he's so absolutely confounded by the idea, and JA played it beautifully.
I agree with Bev about Dean's subtle shift at the end with Castiel, too. Bravado pushed down, looking at him sideways instead of head-on, absolutely silent -- perfect. For a moment, even Dean knew he wasn't the alpha dog. Hell, he wasn't even the beta.
You could also see a zit between JA's eyebrows. He's human! Amazing!
I'm rewatching right now. Because I can.
I was happy to realize at the beginning of the episode that Castiel's existence wasn't something Dean was going to keep secret from Sam, although I would have liked to have seen the discussion. Now I'm waiting rather impatiently for the "By the way, Dean, Ruby's still around and oh yeah, I have these Jedi demon-killing abilities" speech.

I was happy and surprised that Dean was so forthcoming with his information. Then again, Dean still didn't believe, so he wanted answers. I don't know if Sam, OTOH, will ever find his "right" time to tell Dean. He's correct. Dean's gonna be pissed.

I was asked if this was the premiere because I was so focused on it.
"no, that's the new angel of the lord." duh.

Me too. Then sleeping and dreaming of angels. Scary angels. Scary naked angels.
