Archangels are notoriously grubby, at least in popular lit and film. Michael, for example. And the angel in Constantine. Angels in The Prophecy movies.
nods
Yep. Angels, and especially archangels, are not necessarily
nice
creatures.
(The mention of Constantine reminded me: when Castiel walked into view, with the shirt, tie, and tan trenchcoat, I exclaimed "Of course! John Constantine saved Dean!")
By the by, sent to me by my critique partner, she who is obsessed and can't quite figure out why I'm not.
He has a big ole crush on me
As for that "crush," this is not Photoshopped. It actually appeared onscreen. Now, whether somebody paid for it is another question.
Take that, omens of cancellation!
Wow! That's despite not having the Chicago or Houston markets!
Well, it's supposed to go
down
once they get the Chicago markets because those numbers include people who were watching the game.
I had missed the whole beginning last night, with Dean coming back and in the fill-up station. I had, however, seen that very intro via a leaked video online, and it ended with the glass breaking. I had originally taken it to be part of Dean's hell experience, like Gunn on
Angel
waking up to a perfect family and having to go down to the basement to get his heart ripped out, rinse, repeat. I was left thinking that part of Dean's endless torture would be escaping from Hell only to discover it was all a lie.
Although I think I'm glad they didn't start the new season out with that kind of trickeration.
And, I'm sorry, Castiel is a bit of a slow learner if he tried a second time to speak to Dean in his true voice. You'd think he'd figure out that after the glass
started
to bust, that when Dean
started
to show pain, he'd have shut his trap and showed up in Hotty Misha McHotterson's vessel to chat. And then to go through all that again a second time, and not give up sooner than he did... if he'd tried a third time we'd have to deem him insane.
Or maybe I'm being too harsh, he was desperately hopeful, and hadn't aquired MeSoFine's body yet. (I
cannot
get over that actors mannerisms and inflection and balance of innocence and sincerity and scariness. He's hot
and
wonderful!)
I really did enjoy the psychic (Pamela). Fun, feisty actress, great laugh, great shoulders. I'm imagining her having played Bella. My liking her so much made the eye-burn that much more horrible. So at least kudos to that. I hope we see her again (no pun intended).
