I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I thought this SPN vid was just amazing.

Because books.

That was gorgeous, Perkins. Although I'm a little confused by the additional not-SPN footage, it works so well. And the song could have been written for the show. Wow.

Art Crawl!!!

That was really good. Loved all the Dantesque and Gericaultesque additions.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Holy CRAP that vid was awesome. I might need to watch that fifty more times.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

That was amazing. I had to go leave a comment.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Next week's TV Guide's cover story is about TV's Sexiest Stars, and bless them, they give JP two big pictures, on pages 64-65. The paragraph underneath from Katie Cassidy (each star has a testimonial from a costar) is pretty much forgettable, but those pictures.... in the picture on the right, his arm has a vein showing that I just want to trace with my tongue. And the pictures make me regret yet again that Sam dresses in so many layers.

The two guys were apparently voted Sexiest Siblings, but the small picture TV Guide uses on page 58 doesn't show them to their best advantage.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I just realized why I've been finding Sam unattractive of late: his forehead. Has it always been that big?! His hair has been pulled away from his face before, so why am I just realizing this now? Maybe JP's just getting older, maybe the makeup people for Ghostfacers did something that didn't mix well with the handheld cameras?

I never thought I'd wish for Sam's bangs to hang over his eyes, but I do!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

JP's facial structure is settling into adulthood; both jaw and forehead are monumental. They sort of balance each other. The hair people have been pulling his hair off his face to emphasize Sam's hardening of purpose and his growing strength. It's been a three-step process.

Before S1 JP wore his bangs parted and mostly off his face. For Sam, they gave him bangs to the eyebrows (and waxed or sprayed them into place. Helmet-head, they never budged) to infantilize him slightly and emphasize his dependence on Dean as protector.

By 2.02, the bangs were parted and stayed that way all season to reflect Sam's acceptance of a heavier role and a more adult attitude and attributes. S3 started with parted bangs, and now they're moving towards getting the hair completely off his face to "expose" his true nature--whatever that turns out to be.

Okay, that's all moonshine and speculation, but I think there's definitely an element of that at work. Honestly? I'd like to see JP with a good haircut, and get rid of that flippy shit behind the ears.

I think so to, but didn't have the memory of hairstyles as they progressed over the years to back that half-baked thought up: that the exposure of JP's changing/solidifying facial bone structure was not only natural, but being capitalized on by the show to denote something changing/solidifying in Sammy.

I get that, and I shudder to imagine JP with his forehead and ears just hanging out there.
