I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

Oh good. Nice to know I am not the only one rewinding this section on the DVR over and over. . . .ahem. Did I just type that out loud? Bleh, half naked Sammy vs. bad essays on Godard's "Breathless" is no contest but I have got to get to work. Must turn off DVR. . . . .Must. . . .oh fine, one more time.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I have to admit that on the second viewing, I found the patching-himself-up scene kind of giggle-worthy. It's so completely OTT. He doesn't even wince as he threading a needle through his skin!

Also, to quote an LJ friend, apparently Sam's special power is to use his puppy-dog eyes on the Trickster and say please. Heh.

Hey, it would work for me. I am a sucker for sad eyes and both of my cats and my boyfriend Brian are keenly aware of this. Manipulative bastards. =P

Ugh, I hate using the term "boyfriend"--makes me feel 14 instead of 31. When I call him my 'partner' when he's not present people ask me how 'she' is, which is not offensive but quite inaccurate and I have a hard time with things like 'life-mate'. In any case, I have yet to find a satisfactory term to describe our non-married but committed lifestyle...bleh. I am open to suggestions.

How about just calling him your mate?

gasp! There's a Wolfram sighting in SPN! Hi there, and welcome.

Yeah, I know Sam did engage PDE. But I did think it was less default, more actual real acting on JP's part. I could be entirely biased. Or easily impressed.

Hmm. Very biological and scientific. A definite possibility. Though it does imply breeding which we will not be attempting until at least this summer. *grins*

I too was impressed by JP's acting this ep. I admit that this episode made me cry. . .twice.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

But I did think it was less default, more actual real acting on JP's part.

I have to vote this way also. When he pleaded, it gutted me. I didn't feel manipulated or that his performance was forced. It felt real.

His face looks about four years old coming off that bed going for the hug--which, I hear, was not scripted. Go actors' instinct!

I know Dean's a guy. Big guy, tough guy, manly man. But from childhood, no matter how good a father John was or wasn't, Dean was the only "mom" Sam ever had. Dean remembered Mom, and tried to take care of Sam the same way. "Brother," to Sam, has not the same meaning as it has to most of us, I think.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

The hug wasn't scripted?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Really? What, were they just supposed to exchange meaningful looks?
