Am now onto Phantom Traveler, since I realized I haven't watched it since it aired originally, and I somehow skipped it in my DVD marathon.
Also, how pissed off was I that SPN wasn't on on Sunday night at nine? THIS pissed off. Stupid Pussycat Dolls. Why repeat a reality show?!
I can't figure out where I saw the car names -- I mean the thing on the TWOP Metallicar thread just reminded me. I'm sure I saw it in an interview with JA w/in the past couple of days, i.e., associated with Comic-Con.
Thanks for looking. If you run across it, let me know.
Huh. I went through several posts of the event and I can't find a reference to the cars names either. I know I read it this weekend after Comic-Con, but someone suggested it might have come from a set visit report. If I find it later, I'll let you guys know.
One of the clips that Beverly linked to is about Dean's best one-liners. In the clip, as Jensen and Kripke are trying to come up with a favorite, someone in the audience shouts one - hilarity ensues and Jensen commands TPTB to buy that person a drink. Does anyone know what was said? I can hear parts of it but not enough to recognize the quote. It shouldn't be driving me crazy .... but it is. I obviously need new SPN episodes to fixate on.
I think it was "Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole." I could be wrong, the audio was a little weak there.
yeah, that's what it was. the whole panel is available for dl here. the video isn't the greatest, but it's at least all in one part and you can hear everything.
I think it's hilarious that we fans can spout one-liners endlessly, give you episode and context, and to these guys, it's just a line. Hit the mark, say the words, film in the can, next. There's nothing deathless about it, nothing to analyze, study, try and figure out if it ties back into what that other character said in episode 2.9, or if it's a riff on what Sam said episode before last.
It's just a job to them. They're glad we're helping them keep their jobs, but we're more than a little weird for fixating on single lines. At least, I think that's how I'd feel in their shoes.
Actually, in Jared's shoes I'd probably feel like a four year old....

Well, he seems kinda like an adorable five year-old in his shoes a lot, too, so...
ETA: Hi, lurker!
They're glad we're helping them keep their jobs, but we're more than a little weird for fixating on single lines.
The weirdest stuff occurs to me. (Of course, that's probably because I watch the episodes over and over.)
For example: In both Route 666 and Heart, we get the *boys* going down on their backs at the start of the sex -- the girls are on top, and both times they're the aggressor.
But ... is the actual physical *woman on top* opening shot a statement? Or is just easier to film the *boys'* faces from that angle?
I think about this stuff way too much.
I also watch those scenes a lot. Like, a LOT.
Did everyone but me universally hate Cassie? That episode makes me so heartsick for vulnerable! in love! Dean. Not that I don't want him on the road with Sam, but I *love* the idea of him finding someone and really falling hard.
Because, apparently, I want to take care of him as often as I want to crawl into his lap and whisper naughty things in his ear.
