Yes, thank you Anne. That was fun (the ones that I got to watch) and it was almost as much fun going through and reading your W&P with all the thinky thoughts. I love you all.
I also love the shot at the end of the Christmas Special when they pull back from the motel window and you see the Impala guarding watching the boys and she is wearing her (reflected) holiday lights.
I was turning past TV Guide channel and they were listing character deaths of 2007. My attention was immediately captured when they said, "Sam Winchester" and showed him in Dean's arms. Then they listed him as the first one under the category of character resurrections of 2007. YAY for show main stream publicity!
I wanted to respond to Plei's post, but I've been invaded by football watching sorts who want me to watch with them and listen to them *talk* about it.
Send help.
Well, I think Sonny Boy was pulling hard for Andy, and was pissy that Daddy Dearest wanted it to be Sam, Sam, Sam. Always Sam fuckin' Winchester. Dude, couldn't Dad see that Andy would have been WAY more fun as Miss Antichrist 2007?
Plei made me spit coke. In a COMM way, not the naughty 80's way.
Aww...when they told Jensen he was #2 sexiest sci-fi male of 2007, he was so humble. He crinckled his eyes with his grin (if you watch closely his smile often doesn't reach his eyes) and said, "That's great! What do I say to that? Thanks Mom!" Ohhh I must smish him.
TV Guide channel was still on in the background as I was catching up with this thread. They picked one of the Heroes guys as #1. Clearly that is wrong.
Which Heroes guy? Dude who plays Mohinder is wicked pretty. Nom nom nom.
Sorry, got side tracked. I was kinda watching Croatoan and the Christmas Special. ::blush::
Where was this?
It was on the same TV Guide channel countdown that listed Sam as one of the memorable character deaths of 2007.
Dude who plays Mohinder is wicked pretty.
It was him. And I don't argue that he's sexy. Just on my list he is below Dean. In fact, my 1-3 sexiest sci fi male of 2007 alternate between JA, JP, and JDM. ((eta: Nope, now that I think about it #4 would be Ronan, followed by Capt. Jack, Hendricks, and then many crew members of Galactica and CKR of BSG. Wait, Stan/Yed would be in there too. I don't think Mohinder is in my top ten.))
Um.... awkward!
The way I wrote it, yes. But the way he said it was more like he was implying his mom had rigged the voting because she is the only one that could possibly think he was that awesome, NOT that he was thanking her for the pretty genes. Now I want to smish him again.
I took it that way because at a banquet in October, they called my son's name and some girls raised a little ruckus. The announcer making a joke said, "I think his mother is here." JA's comments seemed very similar.
Now that I have watched the Christmas eppy again, I agree with Bev that the "Don't ever talk about Mom" delivery was a direction mistake and not the child actor's fault. Anyone standing around there (besides the kids) should have been able to notice it needed to be dialed down from an eleven. He could have pulled it off nicely going a couple different ways. Maybe they were running late that day and had to go with that take. ??? He shows some good stuff in other scenes.
