I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I will admit that the second time through there was a moment were they lingered on Sam and I looked at his hair and though, "Sam, your hair is making crazy animal shapes. Get it cut."

See, sumi, my brain keeps presenting me with these flashes of some cartoon character that I can't quite recall completely, except that I think it was a water buffalo of some sort. Perhaps purplish. Anyway, it had blackish hair that parted in the center and curled up at the ends, just like Sam's. And thus, I wish he'd find time to get it trimmed. After all, Dean makes time to get his cut on a regular basis. You'd think Sam could get his trimmed just a little bit once in a while too.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It's reminding me of the hair of that annoying little kid pilot that clucked and chirped like a bird from the Battle of the Planets animé.

I love that they clarified that no weapons were included.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So, I'm a week behind on SPN (just like always). I watched the ghost pirate ship episode last night.

Dear SPN writers,

If you're going to use a WELL-KNOWN magical artifact for your handwavium, do your goddamn research. A Hand of Glory is made by cutting off the left hand of a hanged man (and then doing other assorted things to it).

Plus, the bit with the older lady made me kinda cringe, and the whole ep felt a bit lackluster. Please to be doing better.

Signed, your local occult research geek

What is even happening?

Here's a right handed Hand of Glory (actual).

She was great, as was Jared, but the writing was horrible. After the umpteenth iteration of the one same joke, I was embarrassed for them both.

That's interesting, because every bit of folklore & occult history I've ever seen was very specific about it needing to be the left (sinister) hand. But neat that there's actually a HoG in a museum somewhere!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Jilli, you've seen Harold and Maude, right?

I suspect that last week's episode suffered from a bad script that needed to be rewritten and could not be made into a silk purse, not even for ready money, based on the Kripke comments reported from the strike lines.

I saw Harold & Maude long, long ago, and need to see it again.
