AmyLiz, I think the reference was to an interview sumi linked: Non-spoilery interview with JA, where he says that

They have a lot of other shows they're trying to launch, and they probably figure that once we're up and running, we can survive on our own. We've hardly had any promotion this year. My feeling is, "Take a little time with this show. You've gotten us to this level, why not put the extra energy into it and get us to an even bigger level?"

A friend of mine was doing a research paper on this back in '02, and sunk into my bones as one of many examples of how loose the translations of the Bible are, and the license that the translators took because they really didn't know what they were translating. According to some fan site that keeps track of such things (such vague non-confirmation, shame on me), SPN was down 3% in viewer stats for 3.03. Despite the fact that the show has really come strong right out of the gate. I think it's criminal that the CW is throwing all its promo weight behind Reaper and ignoring SPN. Not that Reaper isn't a good show (I don't know, I don't watch). But I think because it's a sitcom, and it appeals to the prized younger demographic who apparently can't handle drama unless it's glammed up like Gossip Girl, and who need reality embarrassment tv or pratfall comedy to entertain themselves. Shame, really.

I'd still like to know what's up with the Roger Rabbit color saturation.

maybe the gals complained that their lip gloss didn't shine quite as nicely and their hair looked dull and... /is mean for no reason
