Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I do like the dynamic between Sam and Ruby. It's twu wuv, obviously. Sam died, came back wrong, will sleep with Ruby and then she'll go get her soul for him.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Because books.

Little Red Riding Hood! And Hansel and Gretel! Awesome.

Dude, there is not enough flail in the world for this episode. Kripke and company were NOT wrong when they bragged about this season.

Jensen wasn't kidding. The CW is dropping the ball. You go to their main website and you wouldn't even know Supernatural was on tonight. That is criminal considering how much game the show is bringing this season.

And they even managed to fit the meaty thinky things into the midst of it all.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

so much love for this ep!

The only thing that bugged (besides Ruby still working my nerves) is the perpetuation of the Lucifer myth [link]

"That passage, Isaiah 14:12 (see below) referred to one of the popular honorific titles of a Babylonian king; however, later interpretations of the text, and the influence of embellishments in works such as Dante's Inferno and Milton's Paradise Lost, led to the common misconception in Christian belief that Lucifer was a poetic appellation of Satan."

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

What is with the demons who can break the traps?!

It looked ot me like he broke the unprotected foundation immediately outside the trap, and the crack that spread from that broke the trap itself. No idea how the Piper Peraboo demon resisted the exorcism or manifested all that psychokinetic power outside of the Devil's trap, though—both of those go against my understanding of how it should work.

Juliebird, I couldn't get that link to work... what was it supposed to connect to?

AmyLiz, I think the reference was to an interview sumi linked: Non-spoilery interview with JA, where he says that

They have a lot of other shows they're trying to launch, and they probably figure that once we're up and running, we can survive on our own. We've hardly had any promotion this year. My feeling is, "Take a little time with this show. You've gotten us to this level, why not put the extra energy into it and get us to an even bigger level?"
