My reading is the same as Plei's.
Ah. I see your point.
'Hell Bound'
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Likely, yes. Except the reason it's an epithet when used to describe men is because of the female associations.
Yeah, and I suspect the writers didn't even think about that. (see my edit)
and I suspect the writers didn't even think about that.I suspect this a lot.
Your point on "bitches" is well taken. It is not just the Supernatural writers who did not think enough about that.

And in this particular instance, the episode was written by Sera Gamble. So either she's tone-deaf to that particular inflection, or it's endemic to the show as a whole.
I don't actually get the impression that Sera is writing from a more feminist viewpoint than the male writers. Aside from wanting to get the guys naked, anyway.
I would think that would be the male writers' goal as well. At least I like to dream it is.
Re color choices in this ep - everyone should read this meta (and its followup) on Color Associations and their role in SPN's visual language. It's pretty much made of awesome and dead-on.
You know the Charlie the Unicorn - Candy Mountain thing? I hate myself but I've had to watch this three times. The YED singing about lollipops.
Today at lunch I was listening to the radio and a song was playing. A rather annoyingly happy song. I'd heard it before and was trying to place it, and finally realized it was from a J2 vid. It was "I think I Love You" by The Partridge Family.
So, well.
What immediately played next was REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore".
I busted out into hysterical giggling.
Now, tell me that's a coincidence or that DJ is a giant SPN fan.
