It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Anne, if your unspoiled spec is the same as mine, and she's got a dead father in the wings, I hope we're correct. We're probably not, but wouldn't that be awesome?

Also! Anyone notice how much of this episode was Sam POV? (Like, if I were writing the novelization of the episode, it would be in 3rd limited Sam POV.) That was just spiffy keen, and a nice change.

Because books.

Anyone notice how much of this episode was Sam POV?

Very much so.

I really want to know what Sam was thinking when Greed was describing their sins, what motivates them. I would love to know what Sam thinks his greatest sins are.

this episode was Sam POV?

That's a good point. The past two years was all about Dean saving Sam and now this year is Sam saving Dean, so the POV makes more sense.

I believe we are thinking along the same lines, and yes, that would be awesome.

holds out hope for narratively satisfying correctness

Victoria P. over in LJ pointed out that Sam gets choked by Pride in this.

Also, I maintain that Pride was cast because they'd found an actor almost as tall as JP and couldn't resist.

I think the fact that Pride singled him out for taunting is a bit telling regarding the reality. If Sam had to pick, on the other hand, I think he might pick wrath.

I suspect envy, for one. Sam wanted the white bread world and did everything he could do to get it until Jess died. I think a part of him still wants it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

And it's like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hellfire, Dean.

Yeah well, whatever.

OH, boys.

Please tell me they are not setting us up to lose Bobby Singer. That would be unwise.

Both those actors look SOOO much older. And they haven't hit their synch yet, after hiatus, either. Things are off, just a tad. Could explain it by the characters' fatigue. Maybe it will improve on rewatch.

They should allow Dean to have another half-inch of hair. He looks like he's been skinned.

Also--Bobby's car through the door and wall of the demon bar? Total callback to the pilot. Woo!

And where's Bobbys truck?

This is what I'm deathly afraid of. I don't know why I got that feeling, but I did.

But Dean's "I'm tired" hit me as hard as it did last season.

Oh, word. ::wibble::

If Sam had to pick, on the other hand, I think he might pick wrath.

I certainly would pick Wrath for him. Pride would want to fuck with him, but I don't think it's a sin he's too guilty of.

No taking my Bobby. I forbid it.
