Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

And it's like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hellfire, Dean.

Yeah well, whatever.

OH, boys.

Please tell me they are not setting us up to lose Bobby Singer. That would be unwise.

Both those actors look SOOO much older. And they haven't hit their synch yet, after hiatus, either. Things are off, just a tad. Could explain it by the characters' fatigue. Maybe it will improve on rewatch.

They should allow Dean to have another half-inch of hair. He looks like he's been skinned.

Also--Bobby's car through the door and wall of the demon bar? Total callback to the pilot. Woo!

And where's Bobbys truck?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Please tell me they are not setting us up to lose Bobby Singer.

This is what I'm deathly afraid of. I don't know why I got that feeling, but I did.

But Dean's "I'm tired" hit me as hard as it did last season.

Oh, word. ::wibble::

If Sam had to pick, on the other hand, I think he might pick wrath.

I certainly would pick Wrath for him. Pride would want to fuck with him, but I don't think it's a sin he's too guilty of.

Please tell me they are not setting us up to lose Bobby Singer. That would be unwise.

No taking my Bobby. I forbid it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Agreed that Tamara rocks, and I was so very glad to be at least partially wrong in thinking that the black happily married couple were only there as red shirts.

The blond chick was listed in the credits, so we're going to see a lot more of her, which is a good thing.

Am I the only one who thought this ep was more gruesome than the majority of previous ones have been? I wonder if this is a trend this season.

The actors look good and well rested, especially JA.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This was flippin' gore-fest 2007! We haven't seen this much gore since the glory days of the first season!

Amy - Oct 04, 2007 5:48:18 pm PDT #3023 of 10002
Because books.

I'm rewatching, and yeah, gore. I noticed it with Shoe Girl first, but the bleach was disgusting, too.

And, you know, the dead bodies, I guess. But that didn't look as real to me.

So much stuff I missed on first watch! One question: are they at Tamara and Isaac's house when Isaac gets pissy in the basement? Because it's not the Sloth folks' house, clearly.

Yep. (On the gore)

The only thing I didn't buy from this ep was Sam opening the door where Dean was playing with the doublemint twins. No way would he do that, after growing up with a big brother like Dean.

Art Crawl!!!

Excellent episode tonight. I totally hope that stalker girl is the daughter of that hunter that Sam killed last year.

Can you believe how very, very Texas JP sounded when he got into Bobby's car at the Demon Roadhouse? He just can't help it.

Oh, but then we couldn't have the funny anvil of "no really, Dean's having a lot of sex, just in case the thumbs-up in the wifebeater and the silhouette of Dean taking off a girl's shirt weren't enough for you." Plus, Sam couldn't make his "I smell something funny" face of disdain.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Please tell me they are not setting us up to lose Bobby Singer.

This is what I'm deathly afraid of. I don't know why I got that feeling, but I did.

Not the only one with that feeling. I suspect bad things for Bobby.

Am I the only one who thought this ep was more gruesome than the majority of previous ones have been? I wonder if this is a trend this season.

Nope. I was wondering the same thing. I love the suspense and hoo doo and horror, but the gore could remain off-screen and I'd be happier.
