Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Especially on ice.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Or washing a cat.

Our wings are not tired.

Ok, read all the comments now. I love us. We be talky meat. We care about the board and don't want to do anything to break it. We are here for different reasons and use the board different ways. Even split on the tv and social reasons. The only landslide result was 85.6% think it works now.

So, we will change and evolve, but with caution and discussion. That part, not so much a surprise.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Well, and the fact that over 50% read here several times a day. Cause we are talky AND compulsive!

I agree with Nicole. I put "unsure" for some questions because I couldn't predict ("Do you believe that splitting up the volume with multiple show threads dilutes or enhances the community?") or because it depended on the specific situation ("How would more television based threads affect your enjoyment of the board?"). It had nothing to do with wondering what "the whole" wants.

I am Nicole and Jon in this.

And on a serious note, I really appreciate the comments from the people who identified themselves as lurkers; that is, I appreciate the fact that they took the time to answer the poll and comment.

And I am Steph in this.

I wonder what Plei wonders.

Apparently, I have no self tonight.

Absolutely appreciate all the work the poll makers put into this. And the poll takers.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm not worked up, just confused as to why, if you don't like the culture, you're passionate enough to comment on a survey about it instead of ditching.

Eh. Some people are masochists.

Will these results stay on that site? Do we need to save it anywhere?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm really happy to hear from everyone, including the snaps. I think it was a great forum to say those things, and we should collectively be aware that people are feeling that way. Hopefully we can be inclusive in the future.

You all might be talky meat, but evidently I am the talkiest. Sorry about the, err, dissertation. My opinion, let me show you it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I read boards where I don't quite like anyone. I'm okay with people feeling that way about me, and even being vocal about it.

I loved reading the words of people I don't know, of whom I've never read. The idea that the board serves a long term purpose for people who never say anything...I am fascinated.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yup. Totally awesome. And lurkers should feel welcome, but totally not pressured into doing anything other than lurking if they like.

Also, I've had a rather nice turkey tetrazzini, and am now feeling quite sprightly, so I edited the table in order of weighted total. Liese S. "Bureaucracy 4: Like Job. No, really, just like Job" Aug 14, 2007 6:38:01 pm PDT
