I would like to reopen Lightbulbs to continue the discussion. Does anyone remember how much time was left before voting, or should we reset the clock?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Discussion actually happened for just over four days the first time, but I still think we should give it another four before voting.

I disagree about giving it more time than the alloted 4 days it has already received, in part because we've discussed to death.

Connie, if there is more discussion, do you anticipate that it will change the ballot in any way?

Not really, it's a straightforward proposal: Network Drama thread, yes or no.

They're asking for a delay in voting so they can mull the expected poll data. I don't think anyone's minds are going to be changed by the data, but I'll consider the idea if a firm deadline is accepted. Me, I'm willing to go with the vote now and let the chips fall. But I'm told being amenable to compromise is gracious.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I'm sorry, but if it goes up for discussion again, it will just go nowhere. IMHO. Based on watching the same thing happening over and over.

I want to propose a Comedy thread also. (But not yet, obviously).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What do you mean by nowhere? It will go to a vote if connie wants it. That's the only place it has to go.

You don't have to get value out of the discussion. It's primarily for connie and her proposition.

Ann, that's a ferret.

The proposal has had the four days of discussion. Under our rules, it's time for a vote. And there may be other proposals that are also being delayed.

But I'll defer to Connie. If she's willing to wait longer, I won't quarrel.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I can see the point of waiting until Monday. This board is pretty dead on the weekends.

What is even happening?

msbelle, Sean, Hec, and askye,

Could we please see the poll results to date? I'd like to see them, before I vote on Connie's proposal, but I don't want to ask Connie to wait again.

msbelle - Aug 13, 2007 8:17:43 am PDT #870 of 6786
I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

It hasn't been up a full week as we promised. I do not want people to start screaming foul.

It is up to Connie if she wants to wait or not for the results, and up to each person how they want to vote, should she want to do it now.

I am a bit perplexed why what other people think about board issues would affect the way anyone votes. A vote should reflect what the poll will show, if people vote consistently.
