Art Crawl!!!

Midnight, the 21st East Coast time?

That sounds good to me.

When I expressed my contentment with discussing HP7 in the Book Club thread, I didn't think that meant we were going to open it up for spoilers early. The rest of the internet is making me curmudgeonly about spoilers.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

What ita said. Given that we're bypassing our voting procedures on this one, I think it's important that we tread carefully and have a true consensus. Opening Bookclub Friday night at midnight EDT, would seem to be a good compromise on which we can all agree.

Sounds like a good plan.

Why worry about spoiler talk if we don't open a thread that allows spoilers before the book is available? I'd like to talk about what I've heard now.

FTR, I was consensing about opening the thread when the book was actually out. But mainly I'm posting content so that I can add,

OTOH, there's a good chance this conversation will last past midnight Friday at which it will be a moot point anyway, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Exactly why we need to obsess over opening, unless I don't get your meaning.

Why don't you announce in Literary that you'll be talking about HP spoilers in Spoilers?

Hold up! I'm with Jessica on this:

I don't think spoilers should be put anywhere people might already be subscribed to without a vote.

Yeah, I'd think people not wanting to be spoiled for a book might be surprised to find themselves spoiled for one in the TV spoilers thread.
