I'm pretty sure Thomas was talking about the unanimity. Perkins' post doesn't mention quorum.

Ah, right.
If that one didn't make quorum there would have been a real problem.
megan- I just send some additions (simplified from the cheesbutt) to your profile address.
I have to chime in and say that I'm very invested in making it to the next F2F, and I thought it was a great proposal and fully intended to vote yes, and then... completely spaced like an idiot.
does it qualify for a BS consensus then?
No. That's why we sweated out our rules.
It`s fine. We were going to be late this year anyway, so we can pimp and plan as usual. The moratorium is only six months, right, so if people still feel strongly about it, it can be re-proposed in plenty of time for next year.
I know it probably doesn`t feel like it now, but having a proposal fail to meet quorum may be a
good
thing. It means we`ve set the number correctly (for a while I thought it was too low, despite the sheer perfection of the number itself) and it`s a good reminder for people to participate in our civic process. We can revisit this topic later, after time has passed, as intended by the system we worked out. It`s not a bad thing, inherently, even for this particular proposal.

Yep, this. To be clear, I wasn't upset that it isn't passing; I was bummed that not enough people voted to even qualify. Regardless, it's moot now. We'll bs consensus in F2F to use November this year, I imagine, and I'll re-propose it in six months if I remember. Someone poke me in six months.
I'm another of those folks who fully intended to vote, but then lost track of time and the next thing I knew the vote had closed. This may be the only vote I've missed since I started actually paying attention to B'crazy, Lightbulbs and Press, which it took me a couple of years to really get the swing of things. I like voting, it's exciting!
