We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

We've talked about this on and off in F2F but never taken definitive action, so I've decided to be action-y. We've had a lot of vintage Buffista issues with procrastination and cat-herding over the years that sometimes have resulted in the need for last minute decisions about venues/dates for F2F. This has meant fewer people have been able to attend either because of prior commitments or expensive last-minute travel. October is delurking month, so I'd like to propose that November be F2F Pimpage month. I'd be happy to adjust the details, but this what I vaguely remember talking about in thread a few months back:

Proposal:

  • November will be pimp-n-post phase for the coming year's F2F. During each November, people may propose a location in the appropriate region of the country based on our normal rotation, pimp its fine qualities, research possible venues for hotel rooms/prom (preferably the same venue for both or within walking distance), and suggest up to two possible dates in spring/summer for our official annual F2F. The date(s) for each location are completely up to the pimp-er's discretion.
  • At the beginning of December, we will vote on the proposed location/date combo. If the pimper offered more than one possible date, we will hold a second vote to pick a final date for the winner. Once the date and venue has been set, the pimp-er will book the hotel so we can begin the process of raising the necessary money and making necessary investments in tickets, corsets, and sparkly tiaras.

--------

I think that's the gist of what we'd talked about. It's a bit rough, but it's a start. Thoughts? Seconds?

Good idea to get on it. Thirded.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You need a 2/3 majority in the Senate to override a presidential veto.
