I think that blaming people is the wrong way to go. Shit happens. Life happens. There's no point in pointing fingers or trying to make them feel bad. I support having a defined end, but I don't support telling people that they suck.

Embrace your fucking suckitude.
Wow. This seems kind of harsh.
ETA: I probably shouldn't get in the middle of this since ND is one of the ones who hasn't sent his gift yet and I love him, but it's hard not to feel defensive after this. He admitted he screwed up and is actually in the process of rectifying it. I don't think there's any need to make him feel worse than he already does.
EETA: Massive x-post with his post in Lightbulbs. I believe that Cindy didn't intend to point a finger at him in particular, so I'm going to step away now since I think the point has been made.
I know I suck, so I just don't do it.
Actually, this is me too. I WANT to do it, but my track record is so bad, I shouldn't even try - even if no one blames me for failing, I feel terrible. I don't, in general, suck, but this sort of thing? I suck at it. I'm better off acknowledging that I suck at it and bowing out than trying and failing and feeling awful.
You know, I think enough of us run into problems staying on top of all the hundreds of things going on in our lives that I really don't think "I suck" is the proper diagnosis. Likewise, trying to participate and not being able to manage it really doesn't mean you suck either. It means you got overwhelmed like we all do sometimes. I'd really love it if we could move this discussion away from who does or doesn't suck, even if we're throwing the word at ourselves.

yes, this.
We just discovered in Bitches we're almost out of room.
The suggestions have begun:
DCJensen "Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed." Nov 10, 2009 8:58:17 pm PST
I'm stunned that we are so close to the end! How did that happen? To pick just one:
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

Yep. I like this one.
