What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

is he using magic powers to get people to hook up?

He is not, but he has a magic string of beads. Controlled by Zeus! Maybe.

I can sort of see ita's LoM rationale, since that show wasn't really SF most of the time, but Cupid is even less so.

almost anything we watch seems able to fall under the fantasy part of SciFi/Fantasy and a lot is getting dumped there.

Yeah, I'm not sure how Kings ended up in there. Is it because it's an AU? I thought it was more of a political drama like Rome or something.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

A perfect example.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't realize there was discussion of Kings in Boxed Set.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you accept the PoV of the Cupid protagonist, he's a Roman/Greek god. Which falls into fantasy, no?

Kings is wobblier than that, but it is definitely an AU. It's either Boxed Set or Natter.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think you've nailed the current problem (for me) with Boxed Set--almost anything we watch seems able to fall under the fantasy part of SciFi/Fantasy and a lot is getting dumped there. Of course, YBSMV.

MyBS does not vary.

The procedurals? The cable dramas? The premium shows? The reality shows? The comedies? Perhaps more than you like is in there, but we went through a lot of agita to create threads for shows that don't fit. "Almost anything" is quite an overstatement.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was surprised to come across Kings in Boxed Set, but I get the rationale. Cupid, I don't know. It's kind of part of the premise that we don't know if it's Drama or Fantasy, isn't it?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am bracing myself for a streaker to run through with a banner reading "Threads at Will" "One Show, One Thread". Baby Jesus is already starting to fuss.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

FWIW, Kings will probably be canceled after its initial run is complete, so it won't be in BS for much longer.

I'm not attached to it being there--it can go out to Natter too. I just wanted to share at least my rationale for continuing to discuss it there. It's like Life on Mars that way.
