But a regular discussion of, say, This American Life on NPR, would go in OM.

Not unless it was about something touching on the Jossverse. I think this qualifies, barely, but it's not all other media.

I don't think that's correct. OM contains all comics discussion, whether Joss-lated or not.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

While I don't really have an issue with The Guild discussion going in OM, I think opening it to discussion of anything Internet, radio, etc. related would really change the focus of that thread. (Oh Nilly :) Where is the discussion of the OM thread prior to it being opened? Just curious about what the original intent was.

The Jossverse was dropped from the slug at the last thread renewal to make it the semi-official comics thread.

Yeah, I forgot about that change (though it is still referenced in the slug). But if the wording now actually does mean all other media, I've got an issue with that.

Slug:

Discussion of Jossverse and other comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!

I don't think it means that, yet. Putting The Guild there could still be wanked as Jossverse.

Maybe we should leave off discussing where totally non-Jossverse, extended, OM (that's not comics) discussion should go until such a creature is more than hypothetical.

Ah, my mistake.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Isn't the jossverse dead? Or at least in deep hibernation? Why not use the thread for something that is currently being produced?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It's not dead, there are Buffy and Angel comics currently in production (with Joss himself writing some arcs of the former). And Firefly specials still come out once in a blue moon.
