A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It was my understanding that we would always, automatically have a dedicated thread for any Joss show-

The situation has never arisen since b.org started and it's never been a part of our voted-on rules, therefore it ain't so.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It seems to me that any new Joss show should have its own thread, but not until it's actually on a network schedule. If people are worried about spoilers elsewhere, perhaps the pilot-related discussion could live in Buffy and Angel?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Why wouldn't it be in Spoilers?

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

speaking of Spoilers...what's the hot topic(s) lately?

It certainly could be in Spoilers, except that spoilers for everything are in there, and some people are very spoiler-averse. I'm a spoiler whore, myself, but I do understand that there are more delicate sensibilities out there.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yes. Spoilers, which are anything unaired in the US, belong in the spoiler thread.

But they're spoilers, so where else would they go?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

There's going to be plenty of promos, interviews etc on the run up to launch though.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Formally, aired-on-TV promos and cast list (and, I guess, premise) are legit material. Interviews, photo spreads, hinty discussion, etc. are still spoilers (some may be Lite spoilers). Until the show gets on the schedule, there shouldn't be much to talk about that isn't spoilery.

(FWIW, Spoilers hasn't had much discussion in it recently, just guest stars and episode titles. It should be possible to jump to the last post in the thread and start a new topic without too much intentional blindness.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I don't have an issue with opening a DH thread, but shouldn't we put it off until we actually have something concrete to discuss?
