"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think it should have it's own thread, but I don't think the thread should be opened until the show at least has a scheduled premiere date or when promos begin airing.

Good point.

This.

Here is my thoughtful rebuttal: Nuh uh!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We should wait until there's something to discuss or people to discuss it.

It seems like we have the second, at least. But I agree that it's probably premature.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think casting completed and production underway would be the earliest. Possibly later if they are just doing a pilot, given how well the pilot for his last show went down with the suits at Fox.

What is even happening?

Isn't Tim part of the Dollhouse team? I'm trying to differentiate between his involvement in it, and in say -- Wonderfalls.

Art Crawl!!!

I totally want a Dollhouse thread.

So far as I understand it - Tim is participating as a writer - but he has his own show so I don't think he's going to be as involved with Dollhouse as he was with Wonderfalls or Angel or Firefly.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

My finger is itchy to put forth the actual proposal but I will hold off a bit to allow some counter arguments if anybody wants to dissuade me.

Pull de streeeng!

Our wings are not tired.

I'd like to see it in its own thread and to see it created soon cause I want to know what all is going on with it. SO EXCITED!!!

This!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It was my understanding that we would always, automatically have a dedicated thread for any Joss show-- and I thought that because of Firefly. However, it does seem like anything right now could actually be discussed in spoilers, right?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

We had Firefly thread on WX starting on May 15 2002, so several months before the show started.

Right. And the thing is, we spent months and months arguing about topics almost completely unrelated to Firefly, in the absence of information about the show (information was in Spoilers, and forbidden from the thread). Thousands of posts. About the history of western movies. No talk about Firefly.

Also, generally speaking, haven't we discovered that it's a bad idea to open a new thread before you know if the show in question is going to last more than two episodes? Isn't that why we tend to discuss Tim's projects in Minearverse until they groundswell -- or at least premiere --, because his projects have a bad habit of dying a horrible death aborning?

How is that bad?!

I think a Joss show has a likelihood for a full season that we haven't seen from Tim's shows (for which I blame Fox).

Besides which...

It was my understanding that we would always, automatically have a dedicated thread for any Joss show-

...this is also my recollection.
