If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'd be happy to condense the discussion period - say 24 hours? Or even go right to a vote.

In fact, I'm going to suggest that we hold voting and discussion simultaneously, with voting to start as soon as we can throw a poll page up and end at 1PM board time on Monday.

But for the larger question, this:

But if it comes up next time there's something that we obviously support as a board but doesn't include you and you don't get to use official process to object...

is a convincing argument to me for voting in the first place, despite what I said upthread.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

But I just want to point out that we didn't vote on anything else on the front page, including our description.

The front page was designed and written before we had our voting rules.

Still not sure where the fire is.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I agree.

Also, if we have a smooshed voting period, can someone just count me in on a yes vote, cause I have no internets at home. (Although I could go to a library and check, I suppose)

Which is one of the reasons we have a three day voting period.

Whether we truncate anything or not, can we at least get the proposal up in Lightbulbs? Then we can talk about the vote there and we can talk about how long to talk about the vote there here. Yeah.

Is there an actual proposal post? If so, I second, thrid, fourth, or whatever it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

can we at least get the proposal up in Lightbulbs?

It's already open.

Ha! That's what I get for being a smart ass.

Not javachik

I'm Sophia, no Internet at home, so either count me as a yes, or get it up before 7 PM tonight, or keep it open until at least 8 PM PST Tues.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I don't really know what people think of this one, but since the strike is likely going to continue for some time, should we create a Writers' Strike thread? This would put everything in one place, and could serve as a Buffistas action thing too. Once the strike is over, kill it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I don't know that anyone has had problems with the appropriation of Minearverse, which features two striking writers, in the absence of anything more on-topic to discuss.
