Although I personally want the image up ASAP, maybe not everyone here is actually in favour of the strike, and would like the opportunity to vote against the site supporting it.
ita is wise. And speaks for me, as well. I personally want it and wish we could bullshit consense. But Buffistas should have the option of voting on something that reflects on the entire community.
Why not put up logo and then vote? Best of both worlds.
Look, if one of us was like, dying, and a logo would make a magical cure happen, we'd put the friggin logo up, right?
I just want to make sure we're not totally tree thingies.
In case I'm dying and need a magical logo.
Lightbulbs is open.
Stay gold, Allyson, stay gold.
So, can one, such as myself, propose that we put up the logo, vote, and then take it down if it fails and leave it up if it passes, until the strike is over?
eta:too slow.....
I agree with you, Allyson.
Well, as long as people want to vote on it, it looks like there's no bullshit consensus. But I just want to point out that we didn't vote on anything else on the front page, including our description. I think it's inaccurate and I hate a self-description that uses the word "intelligent" -- but it's not a big deal, even though that *is* something that is supposed to represent us. Like that, I don't think this matter is akin to something that affects our experience of the board, so I suggest we consense on a truncated voting/discussion period-- maybe 2/2, so it's up by Tuesday.

This seems like a good idea to me.
