It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm pretty sure it's just descriptive.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm pretty sure it's just descriptive.

Instead of going with the tortured jokes, etc.

(I approve.)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'd like to propose Buffistas support of fans4writers, but I'm unsure how that would work.

Information is linked, and I think it sort of means we'd put the strike icon on our header, and inform them if we make donations that it's coming from Buffistas, or if we do our own thing that we let them know so they can add it to their list.

I think the point is to have a one stop place for fandoms to mobilize so that if one fandom is going to Burbank with coffee and to help picket on Wednesday, maybe the next fandom will plan to go on Thursday, so that there's not a clusterfuck and also to keep a steady stream of support for the strikerinos.

How do we feel about this as a community? The main con for me is that I really don't know these folks, and I'm always a bit cynical about fan campaigns and how they can implode.

The main pro for me is that there seems to be a rising concerted effort amongst the audience (fans) to help educate the public about the issues, and I think it'd be neat for us to be a part of that.

Thoughts? Clarifications? I know I'm still a bit muddy with the writing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Right off the top, I'm all for it. Without the writers, we would have no fandom. And, to me anyway, it has always seemed to have been the writers of our "base" shows (Buffy, Angel, Firefly) that have been most accesible to us and eager (if not a little scared) to hang with us and watch us get shitfaced and fawn all over them.

Let's support 'em.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We're definitely a writer-oriented group.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I like the idea on the face of it for sure. How difficult would it be to add an extra graphic to the header? I don't want to make extra work for the coders.

We'd also need an easy front-page way to direct folks to Minearverse for strike talk.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm definitely pro- this idea.
