You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

also, with the posted results so close, I would hate to declare those numbers final if there's a chance more votes came in after the post. I have no knowledge of how b.org votes usually go. Have there been votes in the past where the results changed significantly in the last few hours of voting?

Seriously? Vote was up through 12 noon. Nilly posted the results a little early, but it was probably harmless error. On the off-chance that the results changed in that last two hours, Nilly will tell us so on Sunday and any new thread can be closed.

Why would the vote stay open until Sunday?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I think they are saying the results won't be known until Sunday when Nilly gets back, Wolfram. I might be wrong, but I seem to remember one of the recentish votes -- maybe over the trial threads -- was closed earlier as somebody had to go away. Unless it was closed late.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

1. On the Sunday thing, I misread Nilly's post entirely about when the vote would close, mea culpa

2. I am just saying that if the results are not the final results, we should let it be known in Press, especially because of the closeness of the vote and the potential hurt feelings on either side if the vote changes or does not change based on these votes. The chance is very slim that it will, but it seems like the best policy is to be open about it.

Swouncing

I felt so bad about having to close the vote a couple of hours too early, I returned to my computer anyway, middle of the night or not, to make sure I can clear things before shabbat and not leave people hanging without final answers. The issue is delicate enough as it is.

I got 3 more votes after I posted (Jon, thank you so much for leaving the ballot open). They didn't change the final result. The numbers are 51 for NO and 45 for YES.

Again, I'm deeply sorry about my (timezoned) need to leave the computer early. I thought it would be better than leaving the results hanging until Sunday, but clearly, I should have mentioned the problem earlier, and deal with it better. I apologize for any confusion, tension or any other sort of problem that it caused.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

No problem, Nilly. You are a (Little Jewish) Saint for checking in the middle of the night!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Holy crap that was a squeaker.

I can't help wondering if removing No Preference as an option made a difference.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks for the update, Nilly, and for counting the votes.
