I started posting in Jan 2001, when I discovered there was a world of TT threads beyond Politics. I delurked pretty quickly, was ignored, returned later and got a light grilling from msbelle as to my intentions. She made me feel a little like I was dating her daughter.
Bureaucracy 4: Like Job. No, really, just like Job
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

I wanted to go to TT and search for my first post, but I couldn't find the TT archives. Or is that a premium thing?
The TT threads are archived here.
It would appear that my first post was about Mister Rogers.

I was really bummed when I found out that we lost Fred...that man was the best use of a Prebyterian Pastor ever!
Fear me -- I found it!
First post was Feb 11, 1999, regarding "Faith Hope and Trick" I didn't say anything particularly clever, but I professed my love for Mr. Trick. I thought that I hadn't lurked, but I guess I did. Heh.

oh, sure, if I wanted to make it easy for myself :) I'd forgotten, thanks for the reminder.
Say, Agnes Bertiz alums, do you remember when we wanted to get Buffy mentioned on the tv folder header, and staged a mad posting campaign to get the post numbers up? Considering that it took the single Buffy thread several months to reach 4,000+/-, which was the cutoff at that point. Heh.
How do you search the archives?
I'm sorry. I can't respond to anything else right now because I'm lost in a storm of crazy Way-Back-Whenitude at TomW's mention of that grand and venerable name Dr. Satan. That's hardcore!
I'm re-reading Buffy 1 and somebody mentions that "in five years they 'll all be out on videotape" - I guess dvds weren't around yet.
DJ, you just use the "find" or "search" feature of your browser when you open the thread file. Since it's a file you have to download and use from your computer, there's no search feature like you would find on threads here on the board.
