I'm withdrawing the question.
Sophia, you're looking at ways to maintain the Buffy-ness of the board, for the good of the board. Hell, I consider you one of the biggest defenders of the sense of community here.
So I might not agree on the comic idea specifically, but I still understand what you're thinking, and I like the general idea.
t edit Meaning, you shouldn't feel bad about brainstorming aloud. IMO.
Thanks Steph!
I really don't want my brainstorming to morph into an argument at all, because sometimes our fights are not good for the community
Although I said it in the comments, I want to reiterate that I really appreciate the effort you guys put into the poll. Like Le Nubian, the results make me feel at peace with the way the board is run.
Also, I think it's wrong to marginalize the lurker perspective in the poll results. I understand the sentiment that posters should have more of a say because this is, in essence, the poster's sandbox. But I look at lurkers as both potential posters and "fans" of current posters. As a potential poster, they should have a say in what the place looks like since they are here and are simply a click (and maybe a vodka shot) away from joining the fun. As fans, I think the feedback is equally important, because we often post to entertain/reach-out to the broader base of readers as much as to interact with other posters.

Are people really doing this?
Caught a whiff of some why-do-the-lurkers-matter annoyance upthread, which pinged me so I thought I'd comment.
I've seen more reaction to the idea that lurkers who delurked are not worth considering than I've actually seen the espousing of the actual idea. I know Allyson mentioned something of the sort, but that's about it, to my memory.
Sophia -- I appreciated your brainstorming as well, even if I didn't like the particular idea. Sorry if I came across as snippy.
Okay. I just wanted to add my own comment to the reaction side and the idea that lurkers may actually be part of the target audience to every post.
