See, but I am in the Gang of 14, but I don't think I am a core buffista!
Seriously, I am sure each person defines it differently, although I bet that ita would make everyone's list as she has so much to do with the technical aspects.
I tend to think of core buffistas as ones that I remember from way back at TableTalk, but I am sure others think differently.

The confirmation email doesn't have anything to do with the vote counter. It's sent out automatically. Check your spam folder and see if it got tossed aside.
And I'll point out again that the inclusion of NP has never yet made a difference as to whether a thread was created.
Numerically, no, but I still feel like it's created an expectation that it's okay or even encouraged to vote "what she said" rather than what you actually think of the proposal. And if voting was supposed to reduce BS consensing, that's not the direction to go. (Down with NP!!)
I thought it was the Gang of 16?
Or is that the number of the Bitch Cabal?
See, but I am in the Gang of 14, but I don't think I am a core buffista!
Sure you are! You, like, organized the first F2F and stuff! Even though you and Erin aren't around as much, you're still Hard Core, drat it!
In my mind.
Of course, everyone will have a different set of Core Buffistas. Which rules, in my opinion.
Of course, everyone will have a different set of Core Buffistas.
This is, of course, the real reason that There Is No Cabal.
I thought it was the Gang of 16?
As the person who had the fit of temper and used the expression, it was Gang of 14. Which, err, was really my low point as a human here. (Especially considering I was the fifteenth most active poster in B'crazy at the time. Though I was feeling frustrated and passionate enough that I probably would have used the expression even if I'd been #1.)
I'm going to throw my support behind the "down with no preference". I think it was created, IIRC, as a compromise for people who felt that they wanted a way to back what the majority wanted AND for people who felt that it was important for every person to vote every time.
This is, of course, the real reason that There Is No Cabal.
Exactly!
