Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I just read a lukewarm review of the straight-to-video "Dead Like Me: Life After Death" over on that unpopular movie site. I added it to my Netflix queue anyway.

Saw The Reader last night. It was actually more compelling than I thought it would be. It is still sort of haunting me.

I also Netflixed Wanted and can certainly see why it was nominated for sound. Otherwise whack as a film, but, hey, Terence Stamp.

Is it better than than hearing Sidney Poitier say "motherfucker" in SNEAKERS?

I love Wanted in many different ways. The only thing that bugs me about it is why can't Wesley just be Scottish?
