Ha, ha! No way! `I am not sure how to distinguish good direction, exactly, but I *thought* it was more than manufactured crip outrage that made MDB feel like it took a year and a half. I'm not sure what my compatriots expected...HS going right from the canvas to the local ILC to begin a satisfying but ill-paying life of disability advocacy? I don't even want to see that movie and I made it up.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Yeah. And means that I have to throw myself bodily between my kid and any fire extinguishers he sees.
Snerk.
Details from a preview of a few clips from Terminator: Salvation. [link]
Has some spoilers since the two scenes shown at the preview are described, obviously. There's nothing in there I wouldn't expect to see in trailers, but my tolerance for spoilers is pretty high.
My favorite bit:
Credibility and realness was important to McG who insisted that the actors get to interact with actual robots instead of a tennis ball on a stick. This resulted in a couple injuries for Bale from punching the metal robots, but they'd have it no other way.
Variety is reporting that the Fox/Warner Bros. dispute over the rights to make the Watchmen movie has been settled with a large payoff to Fox. In addition to a cash payment between $5-10 million, plus payment of Fox’s legal fees,
Fox will get a gross participation in “Watchmen” that scales between 5% and 8.5%, depending on the film’s worldwide revenues. Fox also participates as a gross player in any sequels and spinoffs, sources said.
Fox also participates as a gross player
Typical.
