I loved Howard the Duck when I was wee. But now all I can remember is duck-sex and am vaguely disturbed.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
duck-sex
OMG. Life is too short.
It was a disappointing comic book adaptation. But I met a bunch of union techies that worked on it when I was at ACT in SF.
I think I liked it a lot when I was a kid.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that le nubian missed the whole "mallard snuff porn/duck necrophilia" discussion on the board (Natter or Bitches - I'm guessing the latter). IIRC that dove(duck?)tailed with billytea's duck physiology lesson.
oh holy shit.
YES. I missed that.
And by "missed" you mean were really glad that somehow that passed you by?
Best westerns I've seen (which is an admittedly short list):
Stagecoach (1939)
True Grit
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Destry Rides Again
Winchester '73
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Dances with Wolves
I've not seen any spaghetti Westerns, so take that into account. For sheer entertainment value, I'm tempted to add Hidalgo, but that'd be mostly for the Viggo factor, as well as his chemistry with his horse.
ETA: Cowboy with Jack Lemmon and Glenn Ford was excellent and should be added to this list!
You don't like Red River?
Or The Big Country ?
(Two of my favorites.)
Oh and Joss working with UA to make his Cabin in the Woods feature.
