Mal: That's not what I saw. You like to tell me what really happened? Book: I surely would. And maybe someday I will.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

D just put in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. He's never seen it before. It's probably been 10 years for me.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Would you consider Back to the Future 3 a western?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

In...a sense? I mean, it takes place in a Western setting. There's a Fistful of Dollars homage and everything.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

D wants to put it in his list of top 5 westerns.

The first day of my Westerns class—that I dropped after a week because I didn't need it and I don't really love Westerns—the professor showed us a scene from Howard the Duck.

I'm not sure I ever saw Howard the Duck. I'm guessing it's not a western.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'm not sure I ever saw Howard the Duck.

Consider yourself fortunate. Seriously, not enough brain bleach in the world.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Howard the Duck

Gaaaaah!

Emphatically agree with Vonnie K on that one. Seriously, that was the closest I have ever come to walking out on a movie.

Although I remember the monster at the end was almost okay.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

D wants to put it in his list of top 5 westerns.

Does D need some recommendations for good Westerns?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I loved Howard the Duck when I was wee. But now all I can remember is duck-sex and am vaguely disturbed.
