Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

“Not dead yet!”

The San Francisco of Tales is a wonderful choice. I would've also loved the Los Angeles of the late forties and fifties, I think.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The way I'm mainlining the series I practically am living in the Pittsburgh of Queer as Folk... which looks a lot like Toronto. The other day someone was getting a tour of the city and they cleverly skipped the incline ride. No inclines in Toronto, I guess.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I want to live in the villa in Italy in Enchanted April.

I also mainlined Queer as Folk, although I didn't make it through Season Four...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

All,

TNT is doing a marathon of LOTR. Fellowship of the Ring is on now. I think Return of the King starts at 7pm ET.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Le N -- yeah, I watched parts 1 & 2 on the previous two nights, even though I had them on DVD!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ooh! I want to live in Rivendell! Although Edoras really resonated, I don't think I could take that much windy isolation and lack of creature comforts.

Or, you know, the villa from Enchanted April. Thanks, Sophia, for reminding me of it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can I live at Pemberley?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I want to live at Bag End.

A scaled up version, of course. I have no fondness for concussions.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I don't think I could ever live at Bag End. Cozy and charming, yes, but the name would forever give me the nagging feeling that I was living in a scrotum.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

You know I could live in Rivendale or Bag End.
