I'm thinking about having a movie marathon this weekend at the bargain theater. They've currently got Burn After Reading, The Dark Knight, and Wall-E playing there, and I've not seen any of them (this year's been pretty lean on the movie-going front). If I time it well, I can go see all three on Friday (for only $6 total), and follow it with dinner at the Indian restaurant next door.

Kathy, I'm not sure what others would say, but I think you should watch TDK last.
When I saw that movie the first time, I don't think I could have watched another movie right after.

I think I could watch The Dark Knight, take a short break and then watch Wall-e. I wouldn't want to eat directly after Dark Knight. I still haven't seen Burn After Reading.

See, I was going to suggest watching TDK first (dark) and then lightening the mood with Burn After Reading (dark, but funny) and finishing up with the gleeful Wall-E.
It sounds like my days of enjoying the Paris summer film festival--a 3-day weekend when you would get a "passport" when you paid full price to the first show you attended, and then every show after that was 10 francs (about $1.50) for the rest of the weekend. People would schedule their days to take in 5 or so shows a day. Paris has a lot of movie screens so there were tons of options, from art-house retrospectives to blockbusters.
Also fun was the "18 heures/18 francs" week when whatever showing started at 6pm (or so) was 18 francs and we would see a movie a day for the whole week.

This was the order the timing of the various showings will work best: 12:45 for TDK, which I figure will get out about 3:30 or so, then 3:30 for Burn After Reading, getting out around 5:15, in time for the 5:10 showing of Wall-E, which will have the usual 10 minutes of previews so I can still see the whole film. That way, I can eat lunch beforehand and then go to out for Indian afterward before 7:00.

I've only done a double-feature before, when ChiKat and I saw Paris je t'aime followed by Once. That was fun.
