Also, count me as one who was disturbed by Pan's Labyrinth. All of the interviews I heard on NPR talked about the fantasy aspects and downplayed the real life stuff, but there was way too much of the real horror in the girl's life to fantasy ratio. I'm gonna Netflix it in hopes that there is some bonus features about the fantasy aspects.
the last movie I saw was Ratatouille and I don't get the "best Pixar evah!" vibe from it. I liked The Incredibles, Toy Story, Nemo and A Bug's Life better.

"I remember everything" to the Albert Finney character in their face-off at the end. And ITA with you about his resemblance to Brian Cox being very confusing, especially in that photo with the Madrid station chief. It would have thrown me off for longer than the few seconds it did if I didn't remember I'd heard about Finney being in the film.
I too was almost shouting at the screen "Put a damn head scarf on!" to the Stiles character--that really annoyed me as something that a CIA agent, even one who's office personnel and not in the field, should have known if I, a simple film watcher, know to do it.

Mmm...SMG is doing the voice of April O'Neil in TMNT. She's redeemed herself by a fraction for doing the godawful Happily N'Ever After.

Just got back from Stardust. I thought it was lovely. Loved De Niro, far more than Pfeiffer, though she did a good job in the part. The whole thing made me happy, and I'd have stayed through the credits to confirm my recognition of
the narrator
, but bloody Jesus was the song awful. I mean, seriously. No, really, I mean, the only even remotely good bit was about "riding a star" which, in context is just porny as Hell, which is the only thing that made it entertaining.
The guy who plays Tristan, well, I hope this does good things for his career, as he was nice to watch.
