Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just watched Anatomy of a Murder -- now THAT's a good movie. Great cast, complicated stuff going on around what seems like a pretty straightforward crime. And I love Eve Arden!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Love that movie. Everyone was at the top of their game in it. I love the moment when George C. Scott realizes he's just blown his case.

The evil is this way?

I love that movie. It's one of the rare movies, in my judgment, that is as good, if not better, than the book. And the author based the story on a murder case in which he was the defense counsel. The book and the movie did such a great job of showing how lawyers do what they do. Great trial, too.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hammer Films is back:

Embarking on its first feature film production in nearly 30 years, legendary British film company Hammer Films has started principle photography in Ireland on the horror thriller “The Wake Wood”

A film about the horror of morning erections?

Now tagless for your comfort.

So, we got a PS3 to use as a Blu-Ray player. Guess what I'm watching!

That's what we did, Jilli.

When I watched Underworld in blu-ray, I was entranced by the fact that Kate Beckinsale has pores.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What resolution are standard DVDs in?

640 x 480 (for NTSC. It's different for PAL). If a movie is in widescreen mode, then the pixels aren't square.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I thought all pixels were square! What are they, rectangular?

Yep.
