Don't remember if it has been mentioned here, but I saw Ne le dis à personne (Tell No One) yesterday. A very good mystery that cleaned up at the French Césars last year. François Cluzet is the lead, but there are good performances all around, including that of Kristin Scott-Thomas. I highly recommend it if it is playing anywhere near you.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Don't remember if it has been mentioned here, but I saw Ne le dis à personne (Tell No One) yesterday.
I remember reading some very good reviews somewhere. Maybe the NYT. Sadly, with the foreign film situation the way it is here, I'll probably need to see it on DVD.
Morgan Freeman was seriously injured in a car accident today: link .
MTV has shot by shot analysis of the HPHBP trailer.
Screen shot that is believed to be a first look at Fenrir Greyback .
Thanks, sumi!! You rock like an awesome rocking thing!
I saw TDK again over the weekend, this time at an Imax. HMOG that is a BIG movie. The shot of Batman diving off the roof in Hong Kong gave me goose bumps (and a substantial stomach dropping feeling).
It also reafirmed my admiration for the performances, especially Heath Ledger. How much of that performance was made by the delivery (as opposed to the lines themselves) is astonishing. A good example being the fact that two of the biggest laughs in the movie was his delivery of "Yeah." and "Hi.".
I think TDK is really excellent on IMAX. (I saw it on IMAX this weekend too.)
TDK rocked my socks in Imax but I was pissed as hell they showed it with no trailers. If I'm paying $12 for a matinee I want my 30 foot tall Dr. Manhattan!
But I couldn't tell which scenes were filmed in Imax.
