May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Art Crawl!!!

That didn't bother me because I figured that he had to move too quickly to show any surprise - and he had to know that Gordon was going after Rachel.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

OK, I'll have to double-check that when I see that in Imax (time to be determined, but it will happen, oh yes, it will). As I said - going on two in the morning, blah blah blah.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I'm with P-C - that's why I thought

Batman went after Dent intentionally.

I'm almost positive that Gordon asks which one Batman's going after, and he says "Rachel!" as he's speeding off.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Batman doesn't have time to show emotion, much less surprise or confusion. He's too busy kicking ass.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Strega, I know. Which is why the whole thing had me confused as to the Joker's intentions. When Bats ended up at Harvey and didn't express any surprise about this fact, I thought he'd changed his mind without telling us.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

wah! I want to read TDK spoilerfont! Must. Resist.

Instead I've been on a John Simm bender, rewatching some of his TV series and rented a couple of movies.

Miranda was so much better than I'd been led to believe. No, not a thriller by any means, and not even a dark comedy. More like cheesy, tongue-in-cheek romance. Kyle MacLachlan making the miniature people have sex was a bit much.

On the other hand, Forgive and Forget started out and was vaguely intriguing to see how these three people worked out their dynamics, only to end with an almighty case of WTF as the story ends in what was basically a hate crime, and the dysfunctional (yet straight) couple leaving the newly-outed David broken and battered on the floor.

The second strangest thing was trying to figure out why these two people were so obsessed over Theo. I mean, as much as I love John Simm, I couldn't see the why of it. And then to have this rather bland, victimized character end up in a murderous rage... now I just have a bad taste in my mouth.

Oh, also -- I've been seeing Joker-esque icons around Live Journal (icons graffitied over with "why so serious" etc.) and until I saw the movie, I thought they were kind of cool and fun. Yeah, NSM now.

Art Crawl!!!

Read this over at Comics Continuum:

Domino's Pizza has begun its promotion for the film. Through July 27, customers can order Domino's new Gotham City Pizza -- a large, hand-tossed pizza, cloaked with 50 percent more pepperoni than a standard portion, for $9.99 and delivered in a specially-designed Gotham City Pizza Box.

Each of the four versions of the box highlights a different element of the Batman costume, including the mask, arm gauntlets, utility belt and chest emblem.

Hm, somebody on LJ posited (regarding the scene I was confused about) that Batman knew the Joker would switch the addresses, which is why he said he would go after Rachel, knowing he would be saving Harvey, because that would leave the cops to go after Dent and save Rachel. That is, he knew the cops would be more likely to give it their all to save Dent than save Rachel, so he trusted them to save her.
